June 16th 1815.
Memorial to three Battles at Fleurus and Napoleon's windmill.
1690, Nine years War. The Duc de Luxembourg, commanding Louis XIV’s army of some 35,000 men, soundly defeated Prince Waldeck’s Allied force of approximately 38,000 men comprising mainly Dutch, German, and Spanish troops.
1794, French Revolutionary Wars. The French, under General Jourdan, defeated the First Coalition Allied army leading to the loss of the Austrian Netherlands and the destruction of the Dutch Republic.
